2010 Home game allocations announced

WIN Stadium Wollongong will host the Mercury Challenge pre-season feature match (February 20) and five home games, one less than the usual regular season allocation due to the beginning of the construction process; those being the Bulldogs (Round 2), Cowboys (Round 3), Broncos (Round 5), Sharks (Round 8) and Raiders (Round 11).

WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah will host six home games beginning with a return clash against the Eels (round 12), West Tigers (Round 16), Panthers (Round 17), Titans (Round 20), Sea Eagles (Round 23) and Rabbitohs (Round 26).

The traditional ANZAC Day clash against the Sydney Roosters in Round 7 will be played at the Sydney Football Stadium – a Dragons home game in 2010.

Kinda expected this. Shame that round 2 and round 5 aren't at Kogarah.. (in fact, I can't remember the last time we played Brisbane at Kogarah - always seems to be a Wollongong game!)

obviously playing all the gong games early so that construction can start ...

this was one of the things suggested with respect to the Kogarah redevelopment instead of the shift to ANZ. Looks like they either learned from that or just treat the wollongong community differently to the kogarah community.

Either way - there is an obvious reason for it and this is the result.

Best thing is that there is now a precedent for the Anzac game to come out of the wollongong allocation. This could yield a fair result where there is a 4 year rotation ... Roosters Home, Wollongong Home, Roosters Home, Kogarah Home
