Ryles was missing from the photoshoot as he was still overseas at the time.
Frank-Paul Nuuausala, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Sam Perrett were not photographed as they were on international duty with NZ.
Sam Brunton, Brad Takairangi, Tinirau Arona and Johnathon Ford were not photographed as they were on international duty with Cook Islands.
Lopini Paea and Isaac Maliota were not photographed either, but Paea is going to be playing next year too, whilst Maliota was a late inclusion to the first grade squad.
Don't forget:
- Anthony Cherrington, Aiden Guerra, Liam Foran, Sonny Tuigamala all played their last year of NYC in 2008 (born 1988) - SKD is also born in 1988 but is a FG regular
- Steve Naughton, Mose Masoe, Tom Symonds, Luke Towers, Martin Kennedy, Jason Baiteri, Kane Linnett, Tinirau Arona, Johnathon Ford, Brad Takairangi and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves all played their last year of NYC in 2009 (born 1989) - Pearce is also born in 1989 but is a FG regular
- Sam Brunton, Isaac Maliota, Jake Friend, Ryan Williamson and Ben Jones are still eligible for NYC in 2010 (born 1990)
- Boyd Cordner, Joseph Leilua and Cheyse Blair are still eligible for SG Ball in 2010 - as well as another young prospect Jacob Miller (born 1992)
Doesn't leave many experienced players at all once you take out all of these younguns. Leaves Anasta, Myles, Minichiello, Ryles, Kouparitsas, Carney, Conn and the Aubussons as the 'experienced players'. Not much at all, considering Conn and Koops are reserve graders, the Aubusson brothers are still rookies, and Carney hasn't played NRL in 18 months.
