I was happy just to see us get the win, don't need to peak early, just need to get the results and progress.

I thought in attack we looked pretty dangerous, Messi was obviously very good and should've put some of those chances away, credit also to the Nigerian keeper who pulled off some fantastic saves. Tevez also looked very good, while Higuian and Milito did very little. Veron was terrible, way too many mistakes. While it's great to see them attacking up the middle, I don't understand why they are so reluctant to cross the football, plenty of times they had someone with the ball in a crossing position only to start tapping the ball back to the middle of the park.

Their defense (as always) is a major worry, particularly Demichelis at right back, who was badly out of position and looked terrible. A potent left winger will rip him apart. While Nigeria did have some half chances, I don't think they created any clear cut chances like the 3-4 that Argentina did.

Happy with the win, plenty of room for improvement, but definitely potent in attack, and Messi looks like he is warming to the task

I see Maradona still frequents his local bakery on a regular basis

I've always wanted to know how big a factor stuff like altitude actually plays on the ball.

I don't mind the vuvuzela's in themselves. What frustrates me about them is that they drown out crowd cheering/chanting

Dont know if its the altitude or not but I hate this ball and the reasons they make it. Who gives a f**k how it flys through the air, most of the game is played on the ground and its brilliant 1-touch passing and sublime-ball control that makes the game great so to see the ball continually going into touch with misplaced passing is incredibaly frustrating. An old-school heavier ball would make for much better football if you ask me, some long range efforts may not go in but I think youd see more goals as a result of the players greater ability to control and pass the ball.
