England in general looked pretty good in general play. Rooney was pretty damn quiet. Gerrard had his best game in a year in any shirt.

US weren't exactly brilliant but they played their game plan pretty well and really stuck at it after the early goal.

Though the poms were the ebtter side but when your keeper f**ks up like that draws happen.

Not overly impressed by England, after watching their friendly with Japan and now this game. I don't think they're anywhere near the level of the likes of Holland, Spain, Brazil, Argentina. The Argies didn't execute perfectly last night, blew a lot of scoring opportunities, but they still would have run rings around the English.

England is lucky though, they have the easiest draw of the big teams. They won't face top quality opposition until the semi-finals (assuming they don't choke earlier) Holland or Brazil most likely, and while they aren't playing all that well they are capable of winning against anyone, so it's not like they need to be playing that well, they could quite easily make the Final without any outstanding performances.
