Yes. France came last in their group in 2002 with only 1 point, 0 goals scored and 3 conceded. Denmark and Senegal went through, Uruguay were 3rd.

Amazingly both of the 2006 Finalists have finished bottom of their respective groups in the 2010 World Cup. Oh how the mighty have fallen!
