Tense final minutes there. Uruguay actually had got into some decent positions. What a kick in the nuts that would have been if they had equalised

Ridders I thought you had a soft spot for Uruguay because of Forlan didn't you? Anyways, good win to Holland. Those first two goals were epic.

I know there was extra injury time played, more than 3 minutes, but SBS took the timer off - no one could see what was actually done. Plus the yellow card to van Bommel would've added a few extra seconds and then the free kick. I think there would've been about a minute extra added.

Awesome to get to the final after sitting though almost 10 promising but futile campaigns. Missed the first half (stoopid merkin of an alarm) but apart from the last 2 minutes thought we were always in control in the 2nd. A Holland-Gernmay final would be the biggest game in my life-time.

Stuff a Germany v Holland final. Id rather a Holland v Spain final and have two great footballing countries who have never been world champions fight it out.

I tipped a Holland v Spain Final before the tournament started and I'll stick to it. Either way it will be a fascinating final. Holland v Spain means a guaranteed brand new World Cup winner and Holland v Germany is a fierce rivalry. I bought a dvd about international football rivalries and the Dutch long harboured resentment towards the Germans as a nation for what the Germans did in World War 2, then in 1974 the Dutch team was playing the best football in the world but the clinical Germans won the cup on home soil. Maybe the Dutch can get revenge? Although my tip is still Spain to win v Germany. Germany are the team I least want to see win although I've enjoyed watching them play (except against Australia). It would just be alot more fulfilling to see a first time champion.

I would too.... mainly cause I have money on both Netherlands or Spain to win the whole thing, so its win win for me.
