Onto another topic besides ronaldo, how terrible is the pitch??

The massive divot taken out by a portugese defender inside the box is quite disturbing

Yeah there are divots appearing eveywhere.

I recall the commentator saying before the game that the pitch had been heavily watered

Hearing the crowd actually making noise, that wasn't vuvuzela aided, has thrown me off a bit.

Pretty dull first half, Ronaldo with some magic but his diving and general demanour make him very difficult to support.

Ivory Coast have been aggressive and seem to be warming to the task, they do seem to lack creativity in the midfield though.

Portugal need to get Ronaldo and Danny in space, should be interesting when Drogba comes on.

A goal early in the second half would be nice just to open this game up a bit

If people think Ronaldo is a bad diver just wait till drogba takes the pitch!

Although with the broken arm his ability to throw himself to the ground will be somewhat hampered I suppose.

Seriously though I hope he comes on soon, he could provide some real spark to the IC's attack

If Drogba is somehow fouled on that arm, well, I think the game would have to be shut down.

Simao is on for Portugal. Nice.

Ivory Coast have been much the better team in this game, but Portugal have been starting to threaten in the last five or ten minutes. Definitely a game the Africans don't deserve to lose, but I've got a bit of a bad feeling.

Gervinho off, shame he couldn't have gotten any rewards for his performance. If you'd been a football novice tuning into this match and been told one of the world's top players was playing in this match you'd be picking out that guy tonight.

Another dull game in what has been a terrible World Cup so far. The opening game was about the only one I've enjoyed. I expected Portugal/Ivory Coast to have a lot of free flowing and exciting football. I really hope things start improving, can't even get a decent goal at the moment.

Lol, have you actually been watching this game, Knights Premiers? It has had lots of free flowing football. It hasn't been coming from Portugal though.

The best game of the world cup so far imho was Serbia vs Ghana, in spite of Serbia's generally underwhelming play. Had stylish football from Ghana, a Serbia revival after a send-off, some balls striking the posts, and finally a late penalty to seal it for Ghana. Awesome!

That said, this game is finishing off quite nicely. All it needs is an Ivorian winner.

Full-time, damn. I can just see these teams both finishing on four points now, and Portugal going through on for and against. It'll be an outrage if the Portuguese advance at Ivory Coast's expense though based on this match.

I didn't think it was a terribly entertaining game, I too am beginning to get frustrated with the lacks of goals in this World Cup.

Ivory Coast did more and were more aggressive with the ball, having said that they took bad options and lack the creativity in the midfield to create clear chances for their forwards.

Portugal did very little with the ball, they just looked pretty flat to me, I was unimpressed with them, and with their mentality of playing for the draw

Drogba's shot attempt on that through ball to him, in the dying minutes, was strange. Almost looked as though he was trying to cross the ball to someone else rather than go for goal.

Ahh this World Cup sucks, there has been no really good goals or good games, it reminds me of watching poor quality a-league games. Let's all hope Spain injects a bit of life - a bit of SOMETHING - because the constant blare of vuvuzela and sh*t football is really making me sick of this World Cup

Might have had something to do with his injury, if he just hit it first time with his left he could've scored.

Very strange for Ivory Coast not to take that corner at the end, not really sure what they were thinking, they created enough chances to win this one, they shouldn't be happy with a draw.

Seems like it may come down to who can beat North Korea by more
