If they intend to put a team of boys in a senior competition they will get the same treatment that the Bulldogs received this year and that was pretty ugly.

It won't be only kids. Something like what Windsor did this year a good mix of seniors & kids

The Liverpool Titans have indicated they wish to enter the BRC in 2013 after winning the Western Suburbs A-Grade competition this year.

They were runners up in the 1st and 2nd divisions of the A-Grade comps,however still a great effort for a debut season

It's good to see individual clubs calling out their intention of playing in the Metro Cup, but the NSWRL should be more pro-active in chasing clubs to join the competition.

In an ideal world, they would also chase the best of the bush, but that is but a pipe dream...

The NSWRL have been proactive for a number of years and have recruited several clubs for the competition.
They even have a sub committee who's sole job is to identify and target clubs considered capable of entry.
That has included bush clubs and interstate clubs.

Fair enough. Just seems a few guys on this forum bring up a variety of past Metro Cup sides or others who haven't been approached yet. I do think they will have to be more proactive with the larger Metro Cup teams stepping up into the NSW Cup.

Mounties forward Pat Galea was named BRC player of the year for 2011 on Friday night at the NSWRL awards evening.
That makes it back to back gongs for Galea who picked up the same award in 2010.

The runners up were Alex Moore (Entrance) and Troy Adams (Wenty).

Moore has moved away from The Entrance and will play for Wyong next season while Adams has left Wenty to join The Entrance.

Galea will remain at Mounties and is training with the NSW Cup squad.
