Lyon. Or Matai. Or Tony Williams.

Have to assume it will be Lyon. A leg injuriy will probably see him give it up for a few weeks at least throughout the season though.

Lyon will be first-choice, 100%. Then DCE, then Matai probably. After that it's irrelevant because with that many players out we won't be scoring tries anyway lol

Getting in on the fantasy research early gUt?

Yeah I have a Campese and Cherry-Evans in my squad from last year who I am allowed to keep for this season but not sure whether either of them will get the gig.

DCE seemed to be first choice kicker for a lot of games early last season, and then for the middle part when Lyon was back. It wasn't until late that Lyon took over, so I thought maybe Lyon had given it up.

Lyon definitely did it in the GF and most of last season when he finally got back to full fitness.

Thats a bit rough on DCE. His first season and most of the kicks were from the side line. However assuming Lyon whats that responsiblity, he should take it.

It's been a long time since we had a genuine top kicker. Matt Ridge had to be the last.

He's no Ridge but I'd say he is a genuine goalkicker. What's he average mid 70s?

As for DCE he didn't do too badly. Everyone just remembers the kick against Souths, from the sideline

Lyon averages about 78% from memory, pretty respectable. Not many kickers go over 80% and then you're getting to blokes like, Ridge, El Masri and Halligan. DCE kicked alright and put several over from the sideline. You just have to look at the tryscorers in the early part of the season to see how hard he had it, top of the list was Robertson who barely scored a try in his career more than 6" from the sideline and most of the others were wingers or centres (Hopoate, T-Rex, Lyon, Matai and even Foran was scoring out wide in the early part of the season). It wasn't until Stewart started crossing the line that kicks became easier (even then Stewart played a bit on the wing with 3 tries against Canberra from right wing).
