1. Greg Inglis - Easily our best option at fullback, should have another cracker year in 2013
2. Andrew Everingham - Should be given first pick after a great debut year, hopefully he can do it again
3. Dylan Farrell - Struck up a good combo with Evro but needs to really aim up to be a definite starter
4. Beau Champion - Better choice than King imo, hopefully he can get back to his 10' form
5. Nathan Merritt - Only definite choice for the wing, here's to another great year from Merritt
6. John Sutton - I can see him being overtaken by Keary soon but for now our best option at 5/8
7. Adam Reynolds - After a great rookie year hopefully Reyno can keep it up and lead us to glory
8. Luke Burgess - Solid prop who adds grunt and showed form at the back end of last season
9. Issac Luke - Should be an 80 minute player and one of the best hookers in the game
10. Roy Asotasi - Started showing good form at the end of last year and should be given first go
11. Sam Burgess - Best used out wide where he can expose defenders and put centres through gaps
12. Ben Te'o - Should slip right into Taylor's vacant spot and hopefully be more consistent than him
13. Michael Crocker - The captain returns for one final year, hopefully he can win the big one

14. Jeff Lima - Should provide solid impact from the bench, and chew up plenty of metres
15. Chris McQueen - Mr Fix It to start from the bench and provide some impact wherever he plays
16. Jason Clark - Solid forward utility who is reliable in any situation, can run off others or make metres
17. Nathan Peats - Forged a good rotation with Luke and can play in the forwards as well

rabbitohs95, love the team! just think we need a second prop on the bench. Think having McQueen, Peats and Clark all on the bench makes us too small. Unfortunately, think one of the three should make way for a second prop. One of the Burgess twins.

Thanks mate!

Yeah I do agree on that I think Clark will more likely be the one to be omitted and it'll likely be George or Tom getting in, which one I honestly don't know.

George has more NRL experience and experience with our team but Tom has more first grade experience, but both seem to be up for the challenge. Would love to see both play round 1 though!

It's gonna be Tom ahead of George. Don't want to put too much pressure on him but I reckon he could easily be the best Burgess after Sam by the end of the season.

Clark and McQueen are quite sizable, Peats has great utility value. All are reliable defenders, especially Clark and Peats. Clark also has leadership value and is very vocal on the field. Good for morale. The Burgess boys have size but based on this year George was behind the three you mentioned, he will have to do quite a bit to earn a spot.

To put it in perspective

Clark 183cm and 103kg
Lima 182cm and 106kg
Asotasi 181cm and 108kg
Crocker 185cm and 100kg
McQueen 189cm and 102kg

Frankly the thought that Clark and McQueen are too small is quite outdated

I think we've just got really small forwards.... :\

1. Ingli$ (c)
2. Merrit
3. King (c)
4. McQueen (allows you to have a 'royal flush' in the centres)
5. Ettingshausenham
6. Hunt
7. Reynolds
8. Burgess, Sam (c)
9. Luke
10. Luke (burgess)
11. Burgess, George
12. Burgess, Tom (confuse the opposition with twins playing same position. Works for the morris brothers, as well as aiden tolman and his brother)
13. Sutton (c)

Bench has to be the Melbourne connection..

14. Crocker (c)
15. Champion
16. Lima
17. Slater

Tamou 195cm and 114kg
Scott 185cm and 106kg
Graham 188cm and 106kg
Kasiano 196cm and 122kg
Tolman 183cm and 104kg
Matulino 193cm and 107kg
Packer 188cm and 112kg
Shillington 194cm and 114kg
Learoyd-Lars 194cm and 110kg

A bit more perspective and I'd agree that we need a bit more size.

I like this team. The only changes I would make would be McQueen straight to reggies as he should play only in the forwards and Roy starting for George B.

I look forward to seeing how Luke Keary goes in the trial matches. Maguire wasn't afraid of playing Reynolds from round 1 as a rookie halfback, with him going so well and showing such maturity if Keary does well in the trials it isn't beyond the realm of possibility that he has the #6 jersey in round 1 and Sutton is in the backrow.

Tamou 195cm and 114kg

You're comparing some of the best props in the comp with our bench players.

The Burgess boys all size up just fine next to all those names you mention.

Can definitely agree with this, if Keary does look the goods (crossing my fingers) he could push himself into the #6 for Round 1 and could become anything.

A good observation, i think in 2 years time or we'll have a Burgess prop rotation which is well over 400kg

I think our pack has good size about it. It think overall weight and size is not always the best indicator, speed and explosive ability come into the equation, Tallis was a good example of that, to a lesser extent SBW as well, whilst he ain't small he is not a giant either. Teo is an explosive player, same with Luke who is small

If you have the three burgess boys in the 17 that,s got to be an average weight of 115 kg, plus Lima , Roy and Teo there around 106-108 kg, the rest around the 100 kg mark, plus you have GI and Sutton who are both over 100 Kg, Farrell is not small. I think the team overall is pretty big, certainly big enough IMO.

I like the look of the team, good to see Champs back at the club, interested to see if Keary gets blooded this year

Thanks Honkiest. I think Mcqueen will probably end up on the bench. I would like to see Roy come on fresh and see how he goes. In all the time he has been here i think he has started pretty much every game in the run on team. I think he would go great as an edge runner similar to Dave Taylor.

Thankfully we are at a point where we should be comparing ourselves against the best! This was in response to a team that excluded two of the burgess boys and had a bench of peats, clarke and mcqueen. If one of those was replaced with a burgess (or other front rower) then i'd be happy.

I agree with Hunters here, i really believe our bench needs 2 props.

But then again why not shift Sam into prop and put someone at second row?

We put the gears through most of those packs last year
