Hi All
A few rabbits fans have put forward their preferred team for this coming season and they have their reasons for the players they have picked. This would be my team (or there abouts) to start this year on what I think should happen to improve the team:
Inglis
Merritt
Champion
Farrell
Everingham
Hunt- IMHO we need a real 5/8. Best option at present, impressed for Bears at 5/8 last year. Would love it in 1st grade- needs a chance.
Reynolds
Asotasi
Luke
S. Burgess- go forward and fear factor in defence, moved to 2nd row at periods of the game
Teo
Sutton- played well last year but more like a backrower than a 5/8
Clarke- defence is great, needs more time to combine with others in attack, showed great signs last year with limited time on the field

Bench would be:
L. Burgess- frontrow rotation
Lima- frontrow rotation
Mcqueen- versatility
Crocker- great work rate

I haven't seen the young Burgess boys play alot of 1st grade but I would love it if one of them could step up and then I would drop either Asotasi or Lima depending on form.
Peats was very unlucky to miss my team. He is a smart footballer and would be the best option to cover Luke from the bench if he is injured.
I am also looking forward to (hopefully) a big season from either Bucketts, Waddell, Centrone or Godwin to put some real pressure on the 1st grade outside backs.
No doubt there will be plenty of surprises this year with so many options for Maguire.
This is just my opinions but I will continue to support any team that runs out for the bunnies.
Dave
