I wouldn't say completely plain jerseys but there are certainly some opportunities for clubs to simplify their looks and be associated with a colour, particularly the Titans who should be mainly light blue with a bit of gold/white trim.

Yeh, Titans jersey from last year (if you only look at the top half) was actually quite good. Clean and distinct...

A clean platinum gold jersey as their alternative jersey would be a good contrast to this...

No.

I appreciate your point about plain designs, I agree. When the dragons had the all red away jersey, it used looked great when playing the raiders when they had their plain lime jersey. Great contrast.

That said, mentioning that the dragons should have an all red jersey as their home is ludicrous at best and trolling at worst.

The teams that could benefit from a plain design are the ones without a really established identity

I was thinking about their away jersey (Im a former Steelers fan, that couldnt reconcile the merge).
I dont like the red V, but i would never deny its value....

But in terms of their away/wollongong strips, id love to see them just embrace the solid red look; no weird butcher-stipes, no Wolverine marks. Just a solid red.

Yeah, this was what i was trying to get at...

You would never change the teams with well known traditional jumpers (Souths, Dragons, Bulldogs, Roosters, ect.), unless you were thinking of their away stripe. But a lot of teams seem to e having an identity crisis ATM.

Everyone is latching onto the V (Manly, Cowboys, Raiders, Titans, Storm sort of....), with is becoming the generic, easy option. But a plain jersey, in a distinct new and colour, will always be identifiable as a new brand image...

Taking the England route it seems. Looks like there's some detailing in the side panel though. I don't mind simplicity for national teams though the socks could do with a white stripe somewhere.

It looks a little too much like a T shirt. Would prefer them to have the double Black chevrons.

Looks like a t-shirt because its not fitted. Black collar and cuffs would have helped.

It's not their jersey, it's a training strip.

Fair dinkum? Apologies if true, I saw this photo on twitter and have never known a national team to have an official team photo in training gear?

What jersey are they wearing then Timmah, same as World Cup?

I imagine its the right badge on the chest that gives it away...

Jerseys have the competition logo, this only has the gear producers badge. So training shirt would make sense.

That makes more sense given that the coaching staff is wearing the same shirt.

My guess would be the same if not similar to the World Cup.

It makes sense based on the fit of the jersey, but if you look at the Samoa vs tonga match at Penrith two years ago, there were no competition logos, only the manufacturer

But what competition logo would they have/need? The double logo for the Roos (and Kiwis?) is a relatively recent phenomenon
