I dont think thats true
If it was, Id imagine theyd only have links to the Chargers only. The Seagulls were most definitely a different entity from them
I don't know for sure as it's a very confusing situation, but as far as I can figure out I think the ARL might still own the rights to all the Giants, Seagulls, Gladiators and Chargers brands as the license started off with the Giants group then they sold the license to the Gold Coast-Tweed Seagulls, who then re-branded them to the Seagulls but would still have owned the rights to the Giants brand as they re-branded them a year later, then when they almost went bust and had to sell their ARL license to survive they sold the license (and if I'm right the brands along with it) onto Jeff Muller who re-branded them as the Gladiators and then after a series of troubles the ARL took the license back off Jeff Muller at which point he may have kept the old branding rights, but I doubt that because they used the same jersey as the Gladiators used for the Chargers.
So after all that the ARL has the license back but because of the times with the SuperLeague knocking on the door and the Crushers struggling, decide to set up their own club on the GC in the Chargers to keep their representation on the GC and in Queensland with both the Cowboys and the Broncos going over to the SuperLeague and after they have them up and running planned to sell them on, now I can't remember if they did sell them before they dropped them but if they didn't sell them on the ARLC/NRL would still most likely own the rights to all the old brands, but if they did find a buyer and they did sell then it's most likely that the buyer still owns the rights to all the old brands.
So as I said it's very confusing but I'm pretty sure that the ARL didn't sell the Chargers, so they probably still have the rights to the Giants, Seagulls, Gladiators and Chargers still siting around somewhere, the only exception may be the Seagulls brand, but from memory when the Tweed Heads Seagulls sold the GC-TH Seagulls license Jeff Muller did get the Seagulls brand but decided to re-brand anyway, I remember an interview about it and him saying something along the lines of (obviously I'm paraphrasing) "I've decided to leave the unsuccessful past behind and replace the old boring civilized Seagulls name with the badass new Gladiators name".
