Thought it was just a clean break? Don't think anything else was compromised so it should only be a season.

yeah it was a clean break, but anyone thinking without doubt that he can come back and play at an all star level is kidding themselves. Its going to take a huge effort with lots of support, but there could be complications, it may not heal properly, he could re-injure the leg (aka Rose), or his mental fitness may become an issue - there are all sorts of set backs that could plague his return.... god I sound like bunnyman.

The Kevin Love trade to the Cavs is now official

It's a 3 team trade apparently...

Cleveland gets: Kevin Love from Minnesota

76ers get: Luc Richard Mbah A Moute, Alexey Shved and a 2015 first-round pick (Miami's 2015 first-rounder via Cleveland)

Minnesota gets: Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young, $6.3M trade exception

That's a great deal for the Twolves considering Love clearly wanted out...

Good deal for T-Wolves. Young is underrated imo.

Young and Bennett would likely rotate at the SF position. Or maybe Young will play majority at PF.

Wiggins with his athleticism could probably stick to playing SG for majority of time.

PG - Rubio
SG - Wiggins
SF - Bennett
PF - Young
C - Pekovic

Not terrible post-Love team.

Then you have Levine, Budinger, Williams, Robinson Jr, Barea, Brewer, Dieng, Martin, Shabazz as the other players.

Not awful.

Just lack that genuine PF though. They'll be playing small a lot.

Have a big soft spot for the Wolves. The whitest team in the NBA.

Yeah I like a team based on skin colour, what of it?

Is there any reason to think the Cleveland big 3, is any better equipped to deal with the Spurs than the Miami big 3 was?

The Thunder still shape up as the Spurs biggest threats imo. If the Thunder go into a finals series with the Spurs with Ibaka, Durrant and Westbrook healthy for all 7 games, that's a toss up series

Yeah... this Cleveland side is infinitely better than last years Miami side for a number of reasons...

- This 'big 3' as such are younger, healthier and IMO better suited to Lebrons needs... Ie Kevin Loves ability on the boards and at the perimeter spreads the floor wide open. Bosh could be effective at the perimeter at times.. But nothing like Kevin Love is. Having an All Star PG like Irving allows someone to take the pressure of running everything off Lebron. It reduces his touches and helps with his workload.

- They have support pieces around them in Tristian Thompson & Dion Waiters are capable of developing in to All Stars themselves... And they also have quality veteran role players in Mike Miller, James Jones, Shawn Marion and soon to be announced Ray Allen.

But I do agree with you... I don't think they are favourites for the title... With George going down the Cavs are top of the East with Chicago... But are merely in the mix with the top sides in the West.

I have doubts the bulls and Rose lasting a full season. 1 game in for the US and already he's suffering from body fatigue aka sore knees....

From what I've seen of him so far in team USA... And from what all the experts have said... I think Rose will be fine.

Yeah... Steven A Smith lost all credibility a couple of weeks ago when he got suspended from ESPN for his disgraceful comments about the Ray Rice domestic abuse situation.

I'm more going off what 'Coach K' has said... http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=11313258&city=chicago&src=desktop

Not to mention the countless comments from the likes of Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant etc... Who are or were in camp....

He's been earning rave reviews from everyone so far...

You can't ask for more than that at this stage...

That article you quoted from coach K was dated 5th August. He was guns blazing, especially in that blue vs white game the on the 1st August. That was derrick rose of old.

However, his "muscle fatigue" started after they played Brazil on the 16th, pretty much two weeks later.

Anyway, hope I'm dead wrong about Rose, and we get to see him compete come april next year.

Dieng gotta start young is a horrible defender and we dont need 2 horrible defenders starting
