I was told earlier today that we let Hock out of his contract about 3 weeks ago.
Simply put, if he came it would have been alone and he wasn't prepared to leave family in UK

In fact he would have probably retired if he needed to.

I understand she is due in January so yes, they didn't know she was pregnant when he signed. As soon as he found out he contacted the club and told them that he was now not sure about coming. This was in May. I know the club offered a range of options but left the final choice to Hock.

That doesn't make sense. We would just have to be refunded the transfer fee. We haven't paid Hock anything yet.

There certainly is a lot of confusion over this guy. Although I really looked forward to him bringing some intimidation to our pack am now wondering if he was really worth the risk.

Not according to Wigan they havent. Apparently they have first option for both Hock and Mossop if they want to return to the UK Super League.
