2014 Player of the Year

Blake Austin wins Player of the Season hands down. Consistently excellent in every position he has played week in week out. A real breakout season. Still dont know where he fits best though for team continuity. Maybe a roving lock if Moses at 6.

Woods and Taupau very good seasons.

All others have been either up and down or just simply down.

We have to keep him for his versatility. He can basically play anywhere in the backline.
I'd have him as most consistent as well.

Austin for sure. I think Moses gets 2nd place and Richards gets most disappointing.

For me it's between Woods, Austin and Ava

Richards hasn't been most disappointing, he's played to his ability (and above it earlier in the year). It's just a shame that we bought him in the first place.

However you want to view it is cool by me. It was a mistake though. His kicking game is great but we need a gun winger.

I still scratch my head that Braith kept Austin out of the starting team for so long...

Its bizarre isn't it. I have no problems with Potter and lets be honest Sheens would have done the same thing but FFS Austin is so much better than Anasta.

Austin, I am scared he'll be left out of the side next year (Teddy, Moses, Brooks and Farah in the spine). Future captain IMO.

Before injuries and turmoil played there part in derailing our season, what was the reasoning in selecting the likes of Anasta,Lulia,Lawrence etc when they kept delivering utter tripe week after week ?Potter has to be held accountable for that debacle.

Ava has come along nicely though.

We are building a supurb young prop rotation atm.

Dogs carried El Masri and Halligan for 10 years each. We can carry Richards for another one or two.

Austin... Daylight second.

Agree

But what a f**ked season.

The Board, the management, the coaching staff & the players should hang there heads in shame for the capitulation of the second half of the season.

Rabble is too kind a word for the performance.

Have to say I have enjoyed watching Austin this season. His defence can be a bit suss, but he compensates by always having a dig. Future leader for sure. He really needs to nail down a position to really fulfill his potential though. Can we borrow him back for the rest of the year?

Woods has been shit since origin, same with farah

Taupau started the year well but tapered off, as did Sue.

Nofo and teddy were always great when they werent injured

Austin a clear stand out. Hell id nearly give it to fulton.

Ava most improved, bodene too. Think akauloa showed he can be a handy first grader.
