If DdG is dropping leaving on you guys on the eve of kick off then it's a dud move by him. If I were Utd I'd be testing Spurs and Levy's resolve to hang onto Lloris and put in good offer for him.

Massive loss for United if true, DdG was saved United bacon plenty last season, don't think Romero is anywhere near good enough for a side aiming as high as Man U.

Season is finally here and I'm so pumped, my predictions are as follows:

1 - Chelsea - only just have them finishing first. Costa's hammies and Falcao's uncertain form are the biggest question marks for me. Josè, Courtois and their defence will win it again for mine.

2- Arsenal - Cech makes them so much harder to beat. Settled midfield and have a solid defensive unit with Kos leading the way for them. Still a forward short of being champions IMO.

3 - United - strengthened the midfield which they need to badly, still need a leader in defence and I expect them to bring someone in. Losing DdG possibly is massive, if they don't improve the defence then I don't see them going higher than 3rd. Honestly think we'll see 2-4 more players brought in tho so my opinion could change.

4 - City - Kún, Silva and Toure need to fire if they are any chance. Kompany is fading, Dimechellis isn't good enough and Mangala has t done much for a £30m defender so a lot of question marks surround city for me. Sterling has shown he can work off a world class forward so he's link up with Kún will be good to watch as a neutral.

No idea about 5&6 as it'll either be Spurs or us. Both have similar problems in that our defences suck, I think we have a better side but Poch is far and away a better manager than BR.

I think we are an AM and CF short. I don't know why we aren't looking at options.

Surely you guys are looking at options, tho Chelsea strike me as the sort of club who will wait til the right options become available. Still time in the window and you have been linked to some names.

Oh, how ridiculous to make a prediction! The window hasn't even finished yet!

Agreed

3 of our ins are Tripier, Anderweireld and Wimmer so we are working on it and we have 5CBs. Shame we cant play them all at once.

At the other end our game plan is just to pass it to Kane. IF he gets injured we're f**ked cuz as of now we only have 1 striker in the club.

Hate to say it but Spurs will win tonight.

United in crisis with problems at the front and back. I don't like any of their centrebacks and word on the street is that the bloke who has been given the squad number 50 will be their starting goalkeeper. That says it all. They have lost 2 strikers without replacing them.

And that is without mentioning they have lost the man who was by far their leading chance creator.

Spurs 2 - United 0

There back up striker is better than all of Arsenals Back ups... Do you even watch football sometimes?

Romero is decent, on Szsz or Ospina level,
They got rid of Maria, but replaced him with Memphis or could be anything within 2-3 years, there CMs are Brilliant and Mata is great a CAM... The defence needs help, but i see a 1 nill win to MU or 1 all.

Tots have.. Kane, Kane and Kane at striker, why they havent looked for a good back up is beyond me, that kid from west brom would of been great for them.

They have no striker besides Rooney.

The overrating of Mata and underrating of Di Maria is criminal. Di Maria created more chances and twice as many assists in half as many minutes.

Depay has played in a mickey mouse league. The odds of him being special this season are very low. If he will become great it will almost certainly be in the longterm and not soon.

Schweinsteiger at his best is special but someone as wise as Guardiola thinks he is 3 years past his best.

I believe the decisive matchup will be Kane outplaying their very flawed centrebacks and keeper.

Pep also thought Kroos wasn't needed or that Alonso is better than Martinez... And no striker.. I gues Javier Hernandez plays goal keeper now?

Di Maria had a hell of a start to last year where he would of racked up most of those stats. But if you watched him in the 2nd half he was dreadful. There would of been players in the football conference that would have done better then him for United. On the strikers, while I'd like a new striker, the fact is that Rooney will start every game he is fit for and we are only starting 1 up top. So most top strikers won't want to sit on the bench all year. Thats why im ok with Herdendez, Wilson and Januzaj backing him up.

Tottenham just lacking a bit in the final third. Other than that they played Man U off the park and deserved something from the match.

Thought it was a pretty poor quality game tbh, early season rustiness I suppose. Tottenham definately didnt deserve to lose that's for sure.

That united game was so f**king boring. I was asleep before half time. LVG needs to sort his tactics out and start playing people in their correct positions

Why couldn't you have backed Swansea?

Good to see some much needed improvement in our defense. Small steps.

Not sure Dier is a DM although he played well but looks like Faz maybe off too. Moussa on the right wing ? We've moved a lot out but we really need to get some replacements in pretty soon otherwise we are gonna have a pretty small squad till deadline day.

So good to have the EPL back!!

- Swansea are such an impressive team. Great core group of players and so well structured. Monk has done fantastic. Key was holding onto Gomis
- loving the cherries and Norwich stadiums and atmosphere
- man utd looked ordinary.. Very lucky to get all 3 points. Spurs deserved a point from that
- hoping for a good season from villa... Like that club and think they have got it right with Sherwood.
