Vardy to Arsenal is a done deal. Imagine a season of Vardy getting on the end of chances created by Ozil. Vardy could get 50 goals this season.

Yes BM, a soon to be 30 year old, one season wonder is the thing we need... What ever you're taking you need to share it around.

a) he isn't 30 until January. b) he has less miles on the legs than pretty much any 29yo. He has played professionally full time for just 4 years. He is much more likely to be productive in years 30-35 than someone who has been playing pro non stop since they were 16.

People were saying Suarez was a one season wonder and look at him.

Vardy has top class pace and top class finishing ability. Precisely what we need. He and Alexis will terrorise defenders and provide so many options for Ozil/Santi/Jack.

And his wife has basically confirmed it, complaining that Leicester fans are abusing her

Lol Suarez was never a one season wonder, he just had an amazing year and took off into superstar status after the 13/14 season.

Will Vardy fit Into arsenals style of play? He was great at Leicester in that rapid fire quick counter attack football where they'd have less possession than the opponents every game. Arsenal don't really play that way most of time do they?

Not sure Vardy is going to be much chop playing with his back to goal most of the time. Could be lethal at times with Ozil supplying him tho.

Could see the signing blowing up in Arsenals face tho as well

City could line up with a midfield consisting of Gundogan who has just signed and apparently Toni Kroos from Madrid next season. Immediately improved them if true.

Wenger has made us more counter attacking against top teams and it has improved our results. We did quite well against other top 6 teams last season. So Vardy will be seamless in the big most important matches. And I'm sure we'll find a way against lesser teams.

Fair point BM, Vardy was a sniper this season and any sir would love that kind of threat up front. Expectation will be the big issue Vardy would need to overcome. It's a shame for Leicester tho if he does move.

Yeah true but Morata has to agree to go back for anything to happen tho. If he doesn't want to go back to just be sold on then Juve would make the sale and it wouldn't be anywhere near 50m you'd imagine.

If Juve sell it will be around 28-32mill, but with this Vardy looking like its going to be done, then i doubt another striker comes in, If i was Wenger i'd hitting Real up for James and Varane in a deal that sends Rambo the other way.

James looks to be available as well so that could be a possibility. Varane would be more needed than James for you guys IMO. A good CB is needed more than another AM at Arsenal. Really doubt Real let go of Varane tho. He's the future for them for sure.

Or we get Morata AND Vardy and play a front 3 of them and Alexis. Selling Walcott pays for a chunk of that.

Walcott wouldn't even fund the Vardy purchase. Who's going to hand over big bucks for him? No big clubs would go near him and mid table clubs would get more value out of mainland European strikers.

West Ham and Southampton are linked for 20-25 mill

Yep and that's not even half of the coin you'd need to get Morata and Vardy in on top of paying for their wages and all the other associated costs of a transfer.

Saints are just about to announce Koeman is going to Everton as well so who knows what targets they'll have when he goes.

Walcott's wages are about as much as Vardy's will be. Getting rid of him basically funds 2 thirds of the costs for Vardy

Transfers aren't just the fee and the wages mate. Theres literally 3-4 taxes, fees to agents and minders, payment to the FA, loyalty payments to the player. Id also hazard a guess that Vardy would want a decent wage upgrade given the season he has just come off.

Morata wouldn't be cheaper one little bit either, unfortunately players want massive coin these days. I know arsenal can afford it but it's hardly Wengers way of operating, Ozil and Sanchez being the exception of course.

Euros could raise some prices as well, as any player with a brain would wait to try impress at the tournament to get even more money.
