Hey yall

Thought it would be good to have one thread for us all to discuss the draft, I know it's still 4 months away but for teams already eliminated it's what we look forward to.

I've started doing some research and watching some videos, some random thoughts so far:

- I think Shane Ray is overrated, nice prospect but seems like simply a speed rusher with no inside move

- It's a another nice draft for WRs, plenty of first round talents including Cooper, Parker and White. I like Cooper the best, I'm not sure about Kevin White just yet, gotta watch some more stuff on him.

- Dorial Green Beckham is the X factor and looks like an elite prospect on the field, almost a bigger AJ Green, obviously the concerns are off the field and I'm not sure how serious they are. Check out his highlights against Kentucky and Auburn to get a glimpse of what this guy can do.

- This is a horrible draft for QBs, I don't like Mariotta or Winston at all and there don't seem to be many mid range guys with potential, I'm sure some will emerge through the draft process but it looks like a very weak class.

- It's a really nice draft for DL and outside pass rushers. Danny Shelton looks like a stud and a perfect NT, other guys I really like are Leonard Williams, Dante Fowler, Arik Armstead and Randy Gregory.

- Some later round guys I like include WR Justin Hardy, WR Nelson Agholor, WR Darren Waller

Feel free to post any thoughts, ideas, hopes, dreams, rumours, etc

how about O linemen? much talent in the draft this year? it feels like all teams complain that their O line is rubbish.

Yeah im starting to really get into it. Im focusing on DB's as quite clearly, picking 20th, and with our needs, that's what the Eagles should be doing. Im very bullish on it though. I like Ifo, but his injury muddles the waters. Waynes falling to us would be nice. Love Landry Collins too, but he's not going to get to us.

I agree about the WR's, it's not as good as last year, but its still 6-7 deep in quality players. Jalen Strong is my favourite outside of Cooper

I love Mariota, but as i've said before, who ever drafts him has to invest totally and completely in him, including getting an OC who can create a specialist play book for him. Him with a Chip Kelly would be an amazing pro, him with say Brian Schottenheimer, busty Mc Bust.

Winston is going to be a good middle of the road NFL starting QB. Not elite. Both are risky and i dont see anything behind them worth getting excited for.

Ill be really interested to see how Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley get treated. To me, they are both absolutely top 15 talents, but the way that position is valued will make it very interesting.

Other thoughts, I see a lot of really good ILB's in this draft. I'd love to see Eric Kendricks fall down into a spot where we could get him in the 2nd to pair with brother Mychal but i dont see how it happens. He is going to be a REALLY good player

Chargers have like the 17th pick.
which is middle as. im not sure what would ba available there. another wideout?

we neeeeeeeed O line help. im thinking we are too low in the draft for good o line right off the bat in the first round so we may go free agency?

id like to see us cut mathews and donald brown, draft a running back or go all in for lynch/peterson

From what I've seen it's pretty thin class in terms of top end CB talent.

I like Collins but not as much as most, I don't think he quite has the range to play centre field, he's more of in the box type.

I forgot to mention Strong, I like him too

Agreed on the DBs... looks thin, which is very disappointing. I think there is 2-3 guys that are day 1 starters, then kind of meh

From what I've seen so far, this is a good class for WRs, OL, DL, pass rushers and ILBs.

Pretty weak class at QB, TE and CB

I think it's pretty good, I really like Cedric Ogbuehi and a few others

I've really only looked at OT, but i just dont see that franchise LT in this class. I see a couple of nice players who can be low end starting LT's and decent RT's, but i dont see any Tyron Smith level LT prospects.

I think Ogbuehi will be a top 10 guy when it's all said and done, could even crack the top 5, I like him as a day 1 LT

i did see him mocked to us before making the playoffs. think carolina are picking at 25 if they lose this weekend.

no idea where we go if all the 1st round OT or OG are gone. might go DT as Cole and Edwards are FA this year and 34 years old. time for some new blood. knowing gentleman it'll be BPA

Amari Cooper to the Raiders is a lock imo
I would love to see it... But it all depends on free agency...

Pass Rush is just as big of a need as weapons for Carr is...

We have somewhere between 50-70M in cap space this FA... If we could bring in a Suh or a JPP then that would allow us to go Cooper at 4....

But it could end up we go Demaryius Thomas or Dez Bryant if they aren't resigned or franchised tagged... Then we draft Leonard Williams or Randy Gregory at 4.

We need to sort out the coach first and foremost... Because if we end up with some of the f**king names I've heard we've interviewed... We ain't going to attract top free agents with ducking Eric Mangini as head coach....

Looking out at the moment... Considering we haven't shown any interest in Rex Ryan... A dream situation for me would be to sign Tod Bowles as HC... Then make FA plays at Suh, JPP, Revis & a WR... Then draft Cooper at 4
