Part of Round 1 has been revealed this morning - Penrith plays Canterbury at ANZ Stadium on 8th March (Sunday Nein match probably).

The rest to all be revealed in early December...

Hell yeah! Round 1, prelim rematch, western sydney, sunday afternoon, channel nine! So glad to see the NRL/nine has taken us seriously enough to give us a blockbuster first up. A decent run with scheduling in terms of timing and teams played and our crowds and membership will be through the roof this year.

They tend to put more emphasis on the opening Thursday and Friday night matches at the start of the season.

But finishing 4th,you'd think they would have put us on at least a Friday timeslot.


But we'll settle for a Sunday 3 p.m. match.

Hey just noticed something.
2003- Broncos scrape into 8th and are turfed out of the finals in week one by Penrith
2004- Broncos finish 3rd and go out in straight sets
2010- Broncos miss the finals
2014- Broncos scrape into 8th and are out week one

It seems whenever we have a good year the Broncos don't.

Next year is going to be interesting because I think we should both be around Top 4. Good luck 2010.

Wayne Bennett leaves clubs in a shit heap once he is done. So I look forward to watching the Broncos try and recover from him leaving a second time around. With dud buys like Darius Boyd and Adam Blair joining the injury prone Justin Hodges and the softest forward in the game Sam Thaiday, the non existent salary cap at Broncos doesnt matter as they are wasting ridiculous amounts of money on duds. Even former duds like Barba and Kennedy are still on the books.
