I've never seen Gagai as a 9 myself. He's not a game-changer and I wouldn't even put him in our top five performers this year.

8/6 with a temp bump for mine.

No way is he a 6 in defence. If he's a 6, then Milford is the same.

If Gagai is a 6 defence even Dutchy is a 10....Woeful, woeful defender.

I think 8/4 fullback is fair, I too don't see him as a 9 yet

It'll all be done away with at season's end. MrC and I are looking to establish baseline ratings for different stats & positions. We'll still have challenges in play, but a clear framework out to do away with this pesky democratic approach.

Why? Bodene performance is equal or superior to his peers who possess a 9 or 10 defensive rating.

7/8 for me. That's what I gave him in Asrl and for the same reason. He has a heap of games of 30 odd tackles and two of 60 odd. He's also played every minute of the year (or had a week or two ago). Certainly not coming off the bench for most of the year he's been starting

...and can I ask how his 521 tackles is any different to Elijah Taylor's 522? Is 19 tackles the difference between Bodene Thompson and Shaun Fensom (10)?

Fensom is overrated as shit. Thompson's average is skewed by two or three statistical outliers. 7/8.

The decisions made in the ASRL have no relevance here.

If statistics aren't the be all and end all, I'd appreciate your wisdom and insights on your decision.

Thompson has played 3 more games than Taylor.


In other news Bryce Cartwright demands a 9 in attack instead of the pathetic 7 awarded in the last rerate. Make it so.

MrC - Fensom is only a 10 due to no rerate. He's likely a 9 these days.

My concern is not that Fensom is a 10, my concern is that I have asked for a re-rate and have provided statistics to reinforce my case.

The response provided no insights on the decision other than it was an opinion.

There are large inconsistencies with how ratings are defined, and this is part of the reason why we have too many 8's and 9's.

I'll take the defense 8, however; why defines a players static is still obscure.
