Well according to a certain donkeys fan, Canberra's performance against the Warriors meant they were going to be roadkill in the season proper.

What would that mean for your mob after that performance?
It's 9's and means jack shit for the season proper apart from match fitness and not to many injuries. Broncos and Cowboys both made the 9's GF last year and neither side had a good year really. After the first day and what their fans have gone through I honestly will be cheering for the Sharkies for the rest of the event.

Broncos fattened Barba up too and he has said he didn't agree with it and it affected his performance.
Read into that what you will.
That's debatable with regards to Barba have read one article saying his ankle was still dodge meaning he couldn't train properly and put on weight and another saying they made him do it, so who knows on that front.

Milford does look bigger, I think I read somewhere he is 90 - 92kg at the moment, which I agree is definitely to heavy.

I don't like it if they have deliberately made him alot heavier, it's not something Bennett has done before so who knows TBH, the kid could have filled out but I doubt it.

I don't think it's a Bennett thing. He carried a lot of small players in his Knights side last year. The problem with Bennett though is that he spends very little time with the squad until later in the pre-season so if they have been bulking Milford up like they did barba he probably had little knowledge before the damage was done.

That's the bit I don't get.
Barba was heavy, he said he raised the issue with Broncos and they said they want him at that weight.
Why???
What is they reasoning for wanting Ben, and now Anthony, to be playing heavy?

It does them no good, their elusiveness comes from being quick on their feet.
Take that away and they lose that spark.

Yeah, it's very strange. Barba's size (or lack there of) was never an issue for the Dogs so I have no idea why they'd want him bigger. Sure Milford is a terrible defender and would be moving into the front like of D at Brisbane but surely someone up there is smart enough to work out that Milford's defensive issues are mainly technique based so making him bigger won't help (as seen yesterday). All it will do is take away his elusiveness which is what his game is built on.

Sharks/Chooks would probably be best to lose here. I don't think I'd want to play the Warriors.

Nulla might want to lost this on purpose to avoid the ref backed Warriors

Wouldn't really matter either way, loser would probably have to face the Warriors after the Tigers anyway. As pools are paired up until the final. So probably better to maintain momentum and confidence and face the Warriors earlier.
