They really need to fill all that empty space between the field and the grandstand with temporary seating. Obviously can't obstruct anyones view but one layer would be fine.

^^^It'll depend less on marketing and more on getting the MCC members to show up I'd imagine. Look at their reservation.

Member pre-sales end tmrw at 8am iirc. I guess it'll be free-for-all after that?

I'm predicting 95-97,000. The only way we'lll hit 100k is if the NRL nail the marketing.

Need a fair few people to travel down there to get 100k, only MCC fumblers will let the total down as Locky pointed out.

I reckon they have priced themselves out of any chance of a 80K+ crowd.
Very average Gold tickets $130.
I was hoping to get half a dozen blokes up for the game but at that price there is no interest. The only $50 seats are the last 6 rows of the top deck at the ends, so that is no good either.
The problem is that half of the best seats (around 20K) are all the MCC members, which is half empty for every AFL game besides the GF and will be for this.
Fair enough price the sideline on the lower levels at premium prices, but the MCG is massive and they should have priced the crap seats at $25 to attract new fans and fill the place.
The MCG needs at least 70K to be pumping. so let's hope lots of folk fly south for the match as I doubt more than 30K Victorians will attend.
