My son was invited guest on the night and had a great. Said Gus was very emotional in his speech. Son was very impressed with the way he spoke about our future. On a side issue apparently John Farragher had offered to have someone else have the honour of his award as he felt he was no longer relevant and few fans today remember him or his legacy. Gus apparently made it clear to all there will continue to be the John Farragher Award while he remains at our club. Was almost in tears during this part of his speech in his praise of John Farragher.

One of the other things revealed on the night in respect of Bryce Cartwright was that his leg injury from last. Season was so severe some Doctors were off the view he would never play again. I was not aware it was anywhere near that serious.

and they think Eastwoods technique doesn't raise the risk of injury exponentially.

Watched the video. I am glad the club sticks with its core traditions, it's these little things which make a club worth following.

It was actually in the telegraph earlier this year. The surgeon and the club didn't even tell him he only found out he wasn't supposed to run again after he came back.
