Well Chavs have been looking around for some time now, all they talked about was how long till they were out of our reach and I dont think too many Spurs fans were ever hopeful over overtaking them so the tweet is actually accurate.

Been saying for a while now that I'm happy to finish second and we'd have to lose every game form here on to even have a chance of dropping second spot. Improvement over third spot from last year and huge improvement from being perennial Europa team.

Its been a great season for us.

Agree, Poch is building nicely and another window with smart purchases to strengthen should see spurs reinforce themselves as top 4 mainstays. Bit more help for Kane upfront should really help.

LFC fans should be hoping klopp is building over a few season like Poch has.

yeh, we need some quality depth, no arguments there

the depth we have is bargain basement stuff, if we want to remain in the top level we need to start spending like a top level team and stop looking for bargains. I reckon thats what killed us in UCL, we just didn't have enough quality rotation although injuries didn't help us but every team has to deal with injuries, thats why you need quality in your depth to remain at this level

we had a decent income this season finishing second (assuming we do) and UCL income and despite what some say, our lack of spending has nothing to do with our stadium as it is self funding due to the income of the precinct around the stadium build

I think Son has grown into decent quality but Jansen not so much. You guys are well run so I have no doubts that levy and Poch will get it right. Read you've been tracking Max Meyer for a while, would be a step in the right direction for what you're hoping for.

You are lucky in that the defence is first class so it's only small amounts of tweeking to really get the squad right.
