No way could either Grevsmuhl or Tom play 50 mins +. Tom would be lucky to crack 35 and Grevs could hit 40

Tom last season regularly played 45mins. I buy the Big League and read the stats! I know it may be hard to believe but it's true.

In the finals match against Cronulla Grevsmuhl made 18 runs for 159 metres. Not sure how long he played, but it must have been about 45mins.

Definitely they could both play 50mins and play well. Have more faith in the boys.

I won't rule that out if you get us in origin period.

In all seriousness Vic I don't expect the Tigers to get the spoon. I expect you guys to be about 13th.

You have higher hopes than me then lol.

If anything the Tigers could be more effected by origin then souths.

I think if teams take the Tigers too lightly you guys could cause 1 or 2 upsets in 2016 when you were given not much hope of winning.

You guys will most likely only be missing Woods to origin. I don't think Farah will be starting at no.9 for you next season. It'll most likely be Ballin.

For Souths GI will be missing in that period and possibly Reynolds.

8. Lillyman
9. Luke
10. Matulino
11. Hoffman
12. Thompson
13. Mannering

14. Leuluai/Henry
15. Vete
16. Lisone
17. Faitala-Mariner/Sao

Not the best, but decent. Will depend on how far Vete/Lisone have come after their first years.

It really just depends on Lisone/Vete. If they come back better for experience and a proper off season in the top squad, then thats one of the better packs in the comp. If they get second year syndrome, then its pretty average.
Our senior props, hooker and second row are as good as anything in the comp, and the Hoffman/Mannering/Thompson combo will benefit from the reduced interchange as they're all workrate guys.

Reynolds will be lucky to hold down souths number 7 let alone compete for origin. Dylan walker would be a good shot but who knows what's going on with him.

Tedesco would be next in line after Dugan for NSW, considering Dugan is injured every second tackle he would be a decent chance of a call up.

Of course NSW won't pick Reynolds. Incumbent super star Pearce is there and this is the year he finally steps up to Origin. Because he has matured as a player. And is ready to take on a leadership role in the team. For reals this time

Hey! Pearce had his best Origin series ever in 2015. He was still unbelievably shit, but it was his best effort yet.

OP is a gee up surely.

Eels ? lol

.

about what? i didn't call the eels pack the best, i said they are one of the most improved, same as manly not being the best, i already nominated the chooks for that.

beau scott is a great addition no matter what you think of him, the eels have had some serious holes in their defence now sorted out, and watmough will be a hundred times better than he was last season now he's not being needled up on a weekly basis

there's also ALOT of depth there compared to alot of other squads

George can play 50-55mins I reckon.

Grevsmuhl could play 55mins.

Tom 50mins.

Maybe. There's a big difference in being on the field for 50 mins and playing for 50 mins, I don't think they're are both capable of the latter, yet.

Doing it once or twice is easy, for a whole season is an entirely different situation.

I don't think Souffs are prepared that well for the new interchange.

So...what does this "name your forward pack" thread have to do with power rankings?

IMO I think the Roosters, Dogs, Cowboys have the best packs

After that there's probably 8-10 teams that either have varying degrees of strengths and weaknesses or have question marks because of player turnover (Manly, Eels for example) where they could look great if they gel but until we see it they're an unknown quantity.

The only packs I can see struggling on a regular basis are Tigers, Titans, Knights, but form, injury, development, emergence of a new player etc can turn things upside down very quickly.
