not really a fan of ISC much rather prefer puma or addidas or umbro (something different)

Addidas and Nike in Australia are the 2 worst, no contest.

The best jerseys are invariably Canterbury (i know the Warriors churn out a lot of shit, but i reckon thats managements fault; the quality of execution by CCC is still phenomenal)

But Annesley, who returned last week from a business trip to Singapore, said he has been given assurances by the NRL that the Titans brand will remain untouched.

“Any suggestion that we are going to change our branding to be the Gold Coast Bears is absolutely wrong,” Annesley said.

“There is no truth to that whatsoever. We are Titans through and through.

“I’ve heard the rumours and I’ve been assured by the NRL, who have control of the club, that there is no basis to the speculation whatsoever.”

Central Coast Bears CEO Greg Florimo did not return calls on Thursday night but Annesley said he has had no approach from the former North Sydney stalwart.

“We’ve had no contact from the Bears,” he said.

“I don’t know what has sparked this rumour, I don’t know where it has originated from. I am aware it is doing the rounds but we will remain as the Gold Coast Titans.

There is a big rumour going round that the NRL want the Gold Coast to become the Bears in red and black or just have the Central Coast as the Bears. plans as early as 2016 season.
Just heard Gibbsy on 2UE talk about this with Greg Florimo. Interesting would make a great jersey.

Ive been saying for a while that they need to do something about their branding. The "Bears" badge im not surprised about, but i would have excpected them to link with Burleighs Maroon and White for a local touch.

That'll f*** the Warriors.

That said, they have 1,526,279,228,879,256 other 2015 colour schemes to chose from.

Maybe they can put it in the referendum with the new flag designs.

We're up to 16 clubs and heading for 18 most likely, doubling up on colour combos seems inevitable.

As long as they each stick to a constant design as well (Warriors = that cool V, Bears = the stripes), there shouldnt be a problem with recognition.

And won't the Burleigh Bears put up a stink?

A) the ARLC would probably look to placate them and establish links for a local element in the brand
B) Burleigh cant really do much anyway. Theyd have different colours and a different logo, and its not like "Bears" was their own original concoction.

I still think the Titans should look to redo their badge as the Bulldogs and Panthers have done recently.

They need to do a Broncos, changing from cartoony to something stylish and modern after ten years in the comp.

Something based on a simple spartan helmet silhouette would be a good start. It wouldn't be a big move, they already use the helmet sub-logo on a few bits of merch.

That Myrtle and white has always been a rugby set of colours as silly as it might sound - Randwick etc.

They seem to be using the old roosters logo everywhere but on the playing uniforms. It's on most of the members items and also being used for a lot of the off field and leisure wear.
