One question. Can Penrith beat the Broncos?
I think it's unlikely they'll play them again unless they meet in the grand final
So Ryan James has broken Campbell Gillards back. Surprise, surprise the NRLs biggest thug has ended another players season.
Of course they can. Whether or not they will is another question entirely. One question. Can Penrith beat the Broncos?
This is the trouble, especially with players who are, shall we say, more brawn than brains. They get a decision like the James one, they think they have a green light. So Ryan James has broken Campbell Gillards back. Surprise, surprise the NRLs biggest thug has ended another players season.
What did he do?So Ryan James has broken Campbell Gillards back. Surprise, surprise the NRLs biggest thug has ended another players season.

Thank you Penrith for making tomorrow's game much more anticipating
Great bunch of lads
Two Titans defenders were holding him up stationary then James came in and dog shotted him straight in the back.
It seems this tactic is deemed a "good tackle". There was an instance earlier in the season where a Dragons player (I think) drove into the back of a player being held (Carter I recall) and the commentary stated what a good hard tackle it was. I think it's a bit cowardly to blindside a player like this. Two Titans defenders were holding him up stationary then James came in and dog shotted him straight in the back.
I checked - it was Marketo on Carter. It seems this tactic is deemed a "good tackle". It makes absolutely no difference which team is 6 and which is 7 if the Panthers play the Dogs. It will be played at ANZ either way, provided that ground is available. The Panthers if they are the away team will even be able to wear their black strip unless the Dogs decide to wear the predominantly blue.Dogs lose to Souths (Fri) and Penrith win V Manly (Sun night) the Panthers will be able to have a home final V Dogs.

Because ANZ is closer to Penrith? I think the NRL, not the home club, decides on the venue in any case.why wouldnt we play at allianz?

Last time we played the Dogs in a final (2014) it was our home game and it was at ANZ. The same in 2004.
Any impartial person would say there was nothing in this tackle. James does little more than lean on Gillard who has been extraordinarily unlucky.
Did you not watch his work at first and second receiver? Or see his dropped bomb with no pressure? Luckily ruled back despite being a knock on.
Every game he stars in its never his fullback play that stands out.
