Penrith are the better team but I wonder if they'll be a bit less motivated now they've secured a finals spot.

I've never bought into the wanting a team to win cause it benefits you thing, to me if we deserve to make it we will. Plus I can't see the tigers winning the last two games anyway.

I hope that the titans lose both their games and warriors win both of theirs (sorry tigers but i dont want you to beat us lol)

I like the titans this year, i like hayne normally but the dude compared himself with jesus and its all a bit weird.

To come 5th and get that home semi is all the motivation in the world.

In fact, just like Foggy mentioned, there is heavy money coming in for Penrith.Generally does when there are no whispers of injuries floating around.

A cracker of a match it will be.

The threat of Hayne sweeping around the back with Konrad charging off his hip is daunting. And the Titan's middle is a genuine scoring threat. But with our share of field position and possession I think we will outpoint the Titan's unless they come with a significantly improved defence.

We were poor against the knights in the first half, because we were starved of ball due to a few crucial errors but more on the back of penalties. Our loss against the Warriors we similarly starved ourselves of ball as most our team took turns dropping it cold. Otherwise we've been consistently pretty good. So I think it all comes down to us holding the ball, or Hayne could just have one of those days and take the game away from us.

Consistency in attack and more importantly, defense. As form goes,I honestly don't see us losing this unless we have one of those collective major brain farts were everything we do is a cluster-f**k.

Oh...and there is the bunker and the refs to get around. The first time we get a view of the bunker, look out for the personally signed Jarred Hayne poster on the wall.

Here we go with the bullshit:

Jarryd Hayne in doubt for Gold Coast Titans v Penrith Panthers NRL clash

Jarryd Hayne is in doubt for Gold Coast's vital NRL clash with Penrith due to a calf injury.

Hayne injured his calf in last week's win over Newcastle and will be forced to pass a fitness test at training on Friday before confirming his place in the side.

If Hayne is out, David Mead would likely slot back into the Titans fullback role for Saturday's game.

Meanwhile, having shared the 2014 Dally M Medal with Hayne, Johnathan Thurston is fully aware of the threat his former Kangaroos teammate poses to North Queensland's top-four aspirations.

Thurston's Cowboys and Hayne's Gold Coast side clash in Townsville next Friday in a game that's crucial to both sides.

The hosts can secure a top-four berth with a win, while the Titans can seal a top-eight finish.

Hayne returns to Townsville for the first time since his comeback to the NRL and Thurston believes he'll do so in good form.

"It should be a good game," Thurston said.

"He is back playing fullback and he seems to be getting better with each game. (Titans coach) Neil (Henry) has got him playing his best footy and we will have to be on top of our game."

Thurston is back on top of his game after struggling with a hamstring problem earlier this month, and led the Cowboys to victory over Canterbury at Belmore Sports Ground on Thursday.

It was the first time Thurston had been back at the ground, since he left the Bulldogs in 2005.

"It was enjoyable to be back, I was a little bit nervous," he said.

"The Dogs gave me a chance when no one else did and I will always be grateful for that.

AAP.

It's more along the lines of emulating Jesus, which all good Christians are supposed to do, but it was still an ill-advised thing to say, especially immediately after saying the media are only interested in getting a story and not terribly interested in representing things fairly.

Hayne, has been passed fit for today's game.

G.C. target Cleary...we'll target Hayne.

See how his calf stands up to the attention.
