Even as a player Morgan was always good to listen too, I remember when he left here as a player in an interview he said he'd be back one day in a coaching capacity, pleased to see he kept his word.

Morgan shared his thoughts on improving the squad's defence, highlighting attitude, aggression and communication as the key areas.

"You have to have a great attitude, that's the key. You can have a great system but your attitude needs to be right," Morgan said.

"We need to be aggressive, that’s important. Good defensive teams are aggressive," he added.

Iro in recruitments OK, he's worked with Doyle at the NZRL....they seem to want Kiwis as first priority, Iro knows them well.

Morgan completes an impressive pairing of young coaches, he and McFadden have been ear marked as rising prospects for a while.

McFadden it seems outshone Elliot in the players eyes (according to strong rumor)...so if these guys don't perform for McFadden, they probably wouldn't for a super coach.

Morgan seems a commanding presence, interesting times are ahead for us. Im a big fan of offensive defence.

I wonder how Jims getting on with finding a mentor for McFadden ?

Too true.

If the love affair continued however....between the dressing room and the assistant ( Bluey/Iro......Elliot/McFadden.....Cappy /Morgan) then I'd be looking a little closer at the psychology of the whole deal....even if you don't rate those head coaches (they sucked to be fair) I would be looking at the ,McFadden situation in particular (he's the guy the players loved before he had to take on the role that requires the delivery of home truths).
