The game will stay close for a fair while then the panthers will go in for 2 late tries and win by 18

Panthers deserve to be red hot favorites in this one. They look like they could go deep into this final series.
I keep waiting for the dogs to turn their form around and play somewhere near their potential, but it doesn't look like it's coming.

We were in a similar position in 2014...so there is a chance...a slim one.

If the Dogs allow the Panthers to put on their moves, the game will be over before half time. But Hasler isn't about to surrender so easily. He'll have the Dogs holding down, wrestling, creeping up in defence, giving away penalties on their own line, basically using every trick in the book (and a few not in the book) to stay in the game. Moylan might find himself targeted in not so pleasant ways when he starts putting Blake and co through holes. The Panthers forwards are in for a very tough afternoon indeed against this pack.

I think we can do it, but it isn't going to be anything like easy. Look for Cleary to pepper the Dogs makeshift back 3 with his spiralling bombs. I would imagine he'd be down at the Panthers Academy practicing them as I type.

I can see it now. Brett Morris will crash over late in the corner after an arsey play where the ball hits the deck and is just tossed around in hope. Mbye despite being an average kicker will manage to sneak it inside the post somehow from the sideline.

It'll be some consolation. Penrith 34, Bulldogs 10.

I think we can do it if we continue our good form of the past 5 weeks. But you never can write the Bulldogs off particularly comes finals time.
Panthers by 2.

Even if Perrett and prayer boy were playing, the Panthers would still cruise past them. And I don't buy into this finals bullshit.Everyone in this Panthers side has had their taste of lower grade finals and grand finals matches. So there won't be any stage fright coming from the Panthers players.

Penrith took the foot off the gas against Manly in the second half, which indicates how well prepared they are going to be.

Panthers 38 Dogs 16.

Meanwhile the Penrith Choirboys will be washing the feet of the poor and dressing the wounds of lepers.

Dogs to grind it out, they're noted finals players and will get to week 2 and lose with everyone asking how they made it this far by playing this bad.

Panthers have given their fans something to look forward to for the next few years but that's it for them in 2016.

Dogs by 8.

I think you'll find that's an on leash area, and the Panthers will have you on a very short one.

Maybe highlight my whole post using your mouse so you can see what I said.

Anyway, BMoz to fullback. Should be a little different in attack, cause Hoppa is a plodder with the ball in hand at the back.

I thought the Panthers at $1.50 was a bit short, and we would ease a bit, but it's gone the other way, now $1.48. The market so far isn't buying this Bulldogs as finals specialists talk.

I'll rather wait till after Saturday's race day when winning punters start seriously laying their bets.

Then by Sunday morning, the picture will be clearer.

You reverse psychology attempts are outstanding. Very few, if any, are talking about it.

Personally I'm fairly confident - Kasiano's back and I'm more comfortable with our backline this week than last as well. But I can certainly see why Penrith are comfortable favourites.

I think it was your coach mainly. And our football manager. And lots of commentators.

Anyway it means nothing. Just pre-game banter. Good luck and may the better side win.
