Decided to use my #1 waiver priority on Smallwood. Every chance I'll regret that, but the potential for him with Sproles out (plus my need for another RB) meant I had to have a crack.
Smart move I think. I don't see much on the waiver wire that would have his potential upside if the starter in front of them went down.

.

I was a little surprised when i saw the offer but i had to mull over it for awhile. Lee is taking the arob role with the jags so he will be putting up points. Dez is hit and miss but when he hits he hits big. I already have that with the other Bryant. We really don't know what Lee will become but i imagine he will be a more consistent contributor. I can only hope dez hits more than he misses.

Prob another boneheaded move by me but im not sitting around watching my receivers get targeted twice per game. I'll take my chances with a younger player who plays in a team renowned for garbage time points. My team can't go any worse. Maybe.....

To be fair to this trade, the Dez thing was more a case of drafting him waaaaaay too early which really exaggerates this trade (ie 13th overall pick for a waiver wire pickup).

Yeah I don’t think that’s as crazy as it sounds
I mean I’d take Dez but he’s become one of those maddening players who you feel obliged to start and always lets you down

Reckon you could have got better for him but I wouldn’t have given up much for Dez tbh

Definitely could've gotten more for Dez IMO

I don't understand why people are trading guys without broadcasting that they're available, strange

I guess we will see who is right and who is wrong by seasons end. Saying I could have got more is very easy to do from the outside, but getting someone to actually commit to a trade is an entirely different ball game. Out of interest, what would you all have been willing to part with for the services of Dez?

Dez is trash, I'd look to get rid of him too. Living off his 2012-14 numbers, catch rate is ugly, needs 10 targets to do anything to match his reputation.

I will look at offers that include Amari Cooper if anyone is interested.

Ebron I can part with as well.

I very much agree, I wouldn't have given up much for Dez.

But as I said, the thing that made this trade look bad was the fact he was the first pick in the 2nd round, but the reality is, that was just a poor draft decision. The trade isn't that lopsided when you ignore the fact Dez went too early in the draft.

I'll agree there re: drafting Dez. Thought he and Dak developed a bit of chemistry late last year but Dak is too good a QB to focus on 1 receiver. He spreads the ball around better than i thought.
