Thats true as well, should of taken the best DB available, and traded up for Davis if they wanted him.

The only thing I can think of is maybe they have had a heap of good offers for the 18 pick and they were gonna take it... and they wouldn't have been able to trade back in to get Davis??

That is obviously true as well, maybe they plan on trading out of 18 to get a lot more picks.
