Garbage Warriors performance. Cue thenmid-season resurgence followed by just missing the 8 after a late season fade. Sick of this shit.

The Warriors have flashy players but no heart!
Embarrassing performance as usual and Kearney is not a first grade coach!

Hoffman and Lillyman. Both are rep players and more than capable. So thats 4 rep forwards in your pack.

Thanks for the condescending smugness though.

If a coach can't get more out of that list then he is f*cking useless, regardless of whether your superior intellect thinks so or not.

Lolohea is a good bloody player and will prove so when he leaves that rabble. But I am certain you know better.

Yeah I've got so much to be smug about with this team.

Six years, 5 different coaches, the SAME player group. Yeah, let's just sack another coach and look for the magic fix with the SAME player group. Am I praising Kearney? Am i saying he's a great coach? No. I'm saying that we can't just keep changing the coach and expecting things to change. A coach can't give brainless plays smarts, and it can't give desire to those who don't have it.

Hoffman and Lillyman are passed it. Yes they'd be better with better teams/coaching, but they're not the players they were 2-3 years ago and aren't going to physically lead the pack. The Warriors pack is small and weak both mentally and physically.

Lolohea is gun shy for contact and too often takes easy options. He's been that way since NYC..

The Warriors need a clean out no doubt, but behind every good rebuild is an equally good coach. Would you trust Kearney to rebuild this squad?

No matter which way you slice it, it starts with the coach.

Mate, I take your point on the coaching turnover.

But besides Cleary, look at who you guys have had in that time: Iro; Elliott; McFadden amd Kearney.

Holy shit what a steaming pile of dogshit that is!

Get a good coach and that team IS top 8. Easily.

Disagree, not necessarily on the coach, but on a good coach making this a top 8 roster easily. The talent just isn't there in the forward pack to make the most of where our talent is which is the spine/backline.

Since 2011 just about every pack has gotten bigger while we may have actually gotten smaller. It's embarrassing watching teams roll 60-70m a set while we struggle to get outside our 40m line. It's more than just simply coaching. A coach can't give players brains they don't have and he can't get them motivated if they have no desire beyond collecting a paycheck.

If it were up to me I'd blow the whole place up, coaching staff, playing roster, you name it, but unfortunately that's not possible.

What I just can't get passed though is that while the coaching line up isn't stellar, the same group of players have put in the exact same apathetic performances week after week for 6 years. Even ordinary coaches have their own style/strengths/weaknesses, but the exact same flaws and shortcomings are being exposed no matter the coach.

To me that doesn't excuse the coach, but it certainly points to something beyond it simply being a coaching issue.

Part of the problem is the development pathways, and to be fair to Matt Elliott this is one area he actually started to get right, but a bigger problem is identification of talent from the Warriors. They've been too enamoured by physical wow factor. The Warriors are a team of athlete's, not footballers and that's why I think even a good coach would struggle with this lot.

What cattle?

Always hear this from other clubs fans. It's such a generic response that the Warriors have so much talent. It's the biggest myth in the NRL and yet people swallow it so easily.

Fullback - RTS. Was great at Easts.
Halves - Foran and Johnson. I know Johnson is erratic but a good coach would give Johnson consistency to his game
Hooker - Isaac Luke. Was a top 3 NRL hooker at Souths.

When NZ are disciplined and focused they can beat anyone, but most times they are not.

Spine doesn't stop the opposition forwards from rolling 60-70m a set, although I'm sure the forwards are lazy enough to expect them to do all the hitup work for them.

I'm well aware of who is in the Warriors side and what teams they used to play for. Doesn't change my mind that the roster is poorly balanced and the talent we do have is negated by the lack of talent in pivotal positions around them.

It's not a top 8 side.

Gotta feel for the Warriors fans, we've all been there (except maybe broncos and storm fans anyway). I don;t know why this game was the catalyst for the outcry, it not like it's the only game this season the Warriors played poorly.

Is losing to the dragons some kind of benchmark for being a poor side?

Although I'm glad we won, we are still a long way from being a top 4 side. We should have converted more chances we created.

It's nice to win again.
