Ferguson has little to no situational awareness. On the Wright try his team mates are sliding toward the sideline, closing down the gap and letting them track to the sideline. Ferguson doesn't slide until the last pass is thrown. There was a metre to defend and he cant do that. If he moves laterally Wright doesnt have the room.

I really like Manu but f**k me dead he can be ineffective.
I'd put Aubo at centre. The Storm will abuse Manu at centre.

Maybe even make the switch at half time.

We're trying to win a Premiership here. There's no time to feel sorry for Manu and suffer his defensive growing pains. Let him learn at Wyong.

At the ground, so havent heard any commentary.
Is it legal for Latrell to strip DCE ?
Ive seen similar pulled up in previous years, has the rule changed?

The pass was fine. Latrell, Toups and Keary destroying Manly on that side. Fergo and Manu absolutely diabolical on the other side.

I think it's probably the right call, but if it is, its the first time the rule has ever been applied correctly in that situation.

I can't think of an occasion that a one on one strip has been penalised to be honest

DCE broke the first tackle, so when stripped still a One on One.

Every time it has ever happened immediately after another player dropped off the tackle.

Name one.

Yeah when there are 2 in the tackle and one drops off thats a penalty, but not when a player breaks a one on one tackle, and then gets tripped by another one on one tackle

You'd think that Pearce would either have learned how to weight a grubber by now or learned to stop attempting them

If Latrell and Tupou were in the tackle together then it's a penalty but Tupou dropped off before Latrell joined in.

Of course I can't name one. They're not memorable enough. Doesn't make the statement any less true. There have been plenty where one player falls off before he second tackler strips. There is usually an argument with the ref as it is a 1 on1 strip but never called as such.
