By not having a good enough reason how they lost to a side coming last,this (the refereeing) will take centre stage to take the attention away. Of course Parra were outplayed,but you watch the refs make up for it next week.

The Eels have a mid table roster. You can't overachieve every week. Last week the Roosters, Sharks and Cowboys all got belted. It happens. Eventually you put in a subpar performance and face a team who are pumped.

2018 doesn't look so bad for them. Might even challenge for 7th-8th.

The issue will be if Brown can get the recruits to buy into the attitude that Brown had created.
All it takes is one player to turn up for his pay cheque and all that hard work is undone.
Hopefully (and it looks like they have) they have recruited the right type of players.
