Keary binning was fair, the penalty astonishing that the Roosters got one in those circumstances.

The shepherds and offside from cronulla kicks without penalty were compensated with that Penalty at the end

Cordner didn't even try to play the ball properly, ball straight on the ground, flop down, earn penalty. But it is not his fault. That is a regulation penalty in the NRL these days. Shows how little we value the play the ball or legs tackles, and how much the ridiculous efforts in the ruck go to winning the game.

Keary strip was probably a bin, but then Maloney was lucky not to be binned. In the end, Sharks missed a field goal by a few centimetres, and had a terrible 7 tackle set as their last set of the game, so we had our chances and blew them. And many poor 7 tackle kicks at the end of sets too.

Roosters missed a few chances too, but got the last set right and that was all that mattered.

Losing Graham was a big blow, we looked very poor in attack (as we have much of the year) but really need Graham and Bird to make either side a bit better. But Roosters and most the top 8 have had various injuries throughout the year, so again our position in the 8 is more because we have played poorly rather than anything else.

Roosters and Sharks both look great at times and really scratchy at times, but I guess they are in the finals and no team other than Melbourne looks great, so anything can still happen.

So is there room for a side with 11 wins from 13? Maybe you might need to beat them first before claiming a place in the big one.

I reckon Penrith have paramattas measure, not by much though.

On form I reckon both Parra and Panthers are superior to Brisbane and Cronulla, despite being lower.

In saying that I think I'm a panthers fan this finals series, don't mind our neighbour cats at all

Good summation Wibble.

We don't look like a complete side this year in my view... whilst our defence held up, we were atrocious through that second half - terrible completion rates and giving away stupid penalties on almost every single set. Was making age just watching it!

If we can turn it on for the finals we're a shot, but I find it hard to see us doing it consistently enough to win the whole thing - especially with the Storm just eviscerating teams right now.

Yeah, in many ways your form has been like ours this year. Some good efforts, some poor efforts, and lots of scratchy wins that were somehow pulled from our....hats.

The only thing to be said in either team's favour, is that most the competition look similarly awkward in different aspects of play. Of course, you now get the serious advantages of a top 4 (and likely top 2) chance, and we are straight to sudden death, so that instantly makes you about twice as likely to win now. But any team that can stand up in the finals is likely to get on a run as we are all poor, and then they will need to pull out a great effort to beat the Storm.

Pfft it was a blatant and intentional professional foul.
2 teams full of sooky diving cats, lead by the most overrated softc@<ks in the NRL.

You're named after Sam Thaiday. You calling anyone else a soft-cock is beyond words.

Yeah I think I'll be jumping on the panthers bandwagon in the finals. Despite their fans constant need for recognition from other teams supporters there's not much to dislike about them.

Was a fairer penalty than that bloody send off

Firstly it wasn't a send-off as you've said twice, it was a sin-bin, and it was 100% deserved and only Roosters fans or potentially Canberra fans could possibly be so biased to think that it wasn't. He raked the ball after a line break then kicked it away.

Maloney probably should have been binned too, not sure anyone really bought he didn't hear the held call.

Cordner earned his penalty with the line he ran, it was the correct call and consistent. That being said, the play the ball is an absolute dogs breakfast right now and you shouldn't be able to milk a penalty by making a half-assed attempt at getting up and flopping around like a fish out of water.

Can Channel Nein please ban Fittler from commentating Roosters games?

Holy shit he goes up a level in his bullshit when they play.

Gus was sulking when the Sharks came back. Not sure if that's because of his obvious Roosters bias or his obvious Sharks bias..
