We really missed Josh Reynolds in the second half to be honest. Some of our best plays in the first half came from his kicks.

Yep, Raiders are capable of some very poor play interspersed with flashes of brilliance.

But on the other hand, this Dogs side, that was battered pillar to post by critics and media early this year (me included) is looking like a team tough enough to play finals, and now with half decent last play options and kicking.
I hope Sticky uses the Sea-Eagles and Dogs as examples in the next two weeks for what enthusiasm can do for a team. We lost to two teams that have less to work with but beat us through doing the little thing ls right (Eagles) and a grit and desire (Dogs). Can't just expect to win against most teams.

This year really shows how much we miss Baptiste

Last season there were plenty of times we were playing like morons and he came on and changed the game by giving us a bit more direction.

Priest and Clydsdale aren't the biggest problem, but they are a problem and need to go.

What a disappointing performance.

Clydsdale was alright, but why is he in the team? Can Hodgson not play the full 80?

I just dont get what we are doing in defence. Its killing us. Teams have so much momentum when they get to the line we barely make good first contact and offloads are thrown at will

Why are we standing dead still. I literally dont get what the strategy is

It's the same thing we did in Ricky's first year. Very strange tactic.

Combine that with ordinary completions and you have a team that's gassed 20 minutes in.

Hardly worth having if you throw him in with 10 to go on average. A genuine utility would be of more use. Jordan Turner was supposed to be that man but it's not looking likely.

You're basically playing with 16 men if he's in the line up. Hodgson is close to the best hooker in the comp, why does he need a back up?

As you said, that bench spot could be better utilised.

Sticky should have moved Hodgson into the halves and austin into an early shower to have a good long think about his commitment in defence.

So cyldesdale should have worked tonight

it actually is dickhead

but he was awful for both sides
like

he doesn't know what hes doing
Every knock on was a lottery, you never knew which way it was going to go.

Some of the strangest refereeing I've ever seen, but it favoured us more often.

We're playing the same way, just getting home in a few rather than losing them.

No teams are really standing out, so the enthusiasm and sensible play will carry teams a long way at the moment.

Raiders still look as good as anyone with ball in hand, sailing up the field. But gee they are dumb.

I said last week my Sharkies have at least over come the levels of stupidity that the Raiders show, but looking at tonight's game, we haven't.

There are several squads, Raiders being a choice example, that are way too good to languish in the bottom half of the comp. Shouldn't even be in the bottom of the 8. But this year I think several talented teams could miss out to enthusiastic, hard running, smarter teams, if the talented squads don't get their acts together.

I was blasted pre-season for suggesting the raiders wouldn't make the top 4 let alone the top 8. These guys are 2nd only to Penrith in the pre-season overrated stakes to be honest.

Newcastle will beat them next game.

Sezer needs to go. Not for that last bit of geniuseness but his repeated inability to stand up and do something.

Unfortunately we've got no one to replace him

I think Austin has been just as poor, if not worse.

Was a weird game for the Raiders, I'm hoping they were just tired or something from being flogged at training too hard. It's a poor excuse for losing but they didn't look fresh or enthusiastic at all.
