He won a few comps with the Broncos when everyone wrote them off including their own.
He won't be trying to win vs France, he will have certain things he is trying and players he's testing. Because he's trying to win the comp .

I don't understand the thought of partisan referees? Like these referees deal with these players domestically and probably hold them in contempt already so they're hardly gonna favour them.

You have to remember that the unwashed ones publicise the towns their referees (both soccer and League/Union) come from and then don't pick them for home town matches "in case of conflict". They're obsessed by it.
