What is so bad about this refereeing that we need 2 in the NRL? Games seemed to have flowed much better.

I think that has helped but there also hasn't been the incessant wrestling and holding down that we see in the NRL.
A lot of the RL I've seen in this tournament has been the best RL I have seen for years.

I know you're just taking the piss most of the time when you bag football, but that atmosphere today was just like a football game and as you can see, it makes a hell of a difference.

That's a fantastic result, but I also think it's very sad....

When is Tonga gonna have this side again? Fatfita and Taumololololol and Hopoate and Ma'u will get lured back to their respective already strong major nations and we'll not see this again.

I actually have hope that this match can be a game changer for International RL.
What needs to happen is that if players choose to play for their nation of heritage, they need to be compensated accordingly. IRL or whatever it's called needs to ensure that these Pacific nations and others get paid equally to the bigger nations as an inducement to play for their native country.
They need to do this if they want to foster international RL and grow it significantly.
I hope the dumb arses in charge can actually see the positive steps this could have for the game.
Today's game has shown them why.

It's a bad habit picked up from Nrl referring to finals as semi's, regardless of whether they're a semi, quarter , elimination, whatever.
