Yeah but Melbourne definitely have a squad capable of doing it. They looked really good against Leeds and when Smith was on the field against a full strength Cowboys team, Melbourne were the better team. I guess a lot depends on how Croft handles the week to week grind of the NRL

As long as they have Smith and Slater they are always going to be up there but I think they are going to have a hell of a time going back to back. McLean will be a big loss to them as he added great go forward up front last year. Question whether Croft will fill Cronk's shoes and perform consistently? I personally find some of the hype just ridiculous. They will really miss Cronk's game management which really is an underrated part of the Storm.

Plenty of people saying the Titans as spooners. They could well be, but until that nightmare game against the Broncos, they were in striking distance of the 8. Also with the Hayne distraction gone, a couple of decent signings, I reckon they’ll be closer to the 8 than the spoon.
