I kinda hope not. The logo without the gold actually looks pretty sharp IMO.

If they wanted to include the yellow (which i think they needed just a little splash of it) then just the lightning bolt done in the yellow would have sufficed imo.

If said for a while that the Storm should go for a more classic RL logo (similar to the Titans; there are good elements, but there is so much going on you end up with a whole lot of nothing i particular)...

I wouldnt call this perfect, but its in the right direction (The shield looks great and the more basic font will probably help recognision)

If they dont go back to their old won in 2019, id like to see something along the lines of:
- Keep the block font
- Return to the man over the cloud BUT based the cloud on the AAMI Park design (give it some local flavour)
- Keep the shield (or if thats not possible, use a circle badge)
- A small recognision of VRL heritage wouldnt hurt (a piece of the VRL logo thrown in at the bottom: the football or even just "RVL" in the classic font)

I consider the PNG outfit, particularly the jersey, to be the best in RL. The yellow with red V is great. If a PNG team isn't ever going to be included in the NRL then the next new club should take that colour and design.

Already there with the colours.....

The red black and yellow colour combo should be put on an exemption list by NRL HQ so that if and when a PNG team join the comp, they have distinct colours that are synonymous with PNG.

Perth should use the black and yellow combo.

I like the Pirates name and badge but this jersey goes to show how fine a line it is between good and bad. PNG yellow with red strip looks great the above jersey looks garbage.

"The logo is reflective of the Club’s history and values while looking forward to the next 20 years. The inclusion of navy is a nod to the Club’s Victorian heritage, while the iconic Storm purple and Storm Man holding the lightning bolt, continues to represent strength and is symbolic for all Storm has been known to represent"

also looks like the jersey will be revealed some time this week:

"The new logo will feature on the Club’s 2018 apparel, to be revealed later this week, while membership packs will also feature the fresh look"

Personally I liked the nod to Victoria with the navy and silver and don't have any problem with there being no gold, they seem to of been fazing out the gold the last few years anyway.

So might be sticking with the new logo in 2019 but obviously removing the 20 years. The original is good I don't think they needed a change.

Still prefer it with the gold, but thts great...

The Stormman being so high makes the current logo a bit wierd. Youve fixe that right up

That is outstanding!

I don’t understand the V in the middle of 1997 (? Vic), and am not a fan of putting Est. years when it’s a relatively short time.

I would prefer RLFC there instead.

But that’s a minor detail. Design is 10/10
