15 teams is an interesting complexity. It might be worth, in future, adding the Warriors to the mix to help promote their junior ranks to filter through to Flegg/NSW Cup.

Tarsha Gale is also happening alongside the two comps as per last year. A couple of new entrants so it's an 11 team comp:

- Canberra
- Canterbury
- Cronulla
- Illawarra
- Newcastle
- Parramatta
- Penrith
- St George
- South Sydney
- Sydney Indigenous Academy
- Wests Tigers

From memory SIA are aligned with (or at least play concurrent to) the Roosters' Ball and Matts team.

The Indigenous Academy is now run by the Roosters and is called the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy

So that's Newcastle and St George being added into the competition. Basically the entire NSW Cup minus Manly. Good for the growth of the women's game.

Why not just a Central Coast team like they do in SGBall and Matts

The Central Coast team is the central coast team not the Rooster's. There is a strong relationship but very different and the Roosters have their own SG Ball and HM. But I see where you are coming from.

I think that the Indigenous side had some funding cut and the Roosters were looking at Woman's RL and the fit was good. Apparently the relationship started last year

CC just finished a strong summer girls comp. Suspect they would be keen

Why would the Magpies send out a club side to represent them or are you just being ironic ??
That's Wests for you. Identification, selection and retainment, has always been there problem. Looks like things haven't changed. The Group 6 kids in Wests were the best players in Ball also.

The Razorbacks are combined Group 6 not a club team and are independent of Wests, although a lot of their playing strength ends up with the Magpies. They will be playing in the Country championship. They are trialling against Penrith on Saturday in both 16's and 18's and Newcastle and Central Coast on 10 February and then their championship begins on 24 February.

So far only the Rabbitohs & Panthers have finalised their 25-man squads for HM & SG Ball. Anyone else?

24/01 Update: Looks like the Steelers have as well.

25/01 Update: Magpies have as well.
