Why regurgitate News Ltd outrage?
Who f**king cares is more the question? They're playing again next Friday in front of plenty of fans and then again in Brisbane a week later.
Closed doors trials are nothing new.

Tomorrow Melbourne and Newcastle will be playing a 'closed-doors trial' at AAMI park. Just, wondering why shut out fans from attending a trial match?
Because the club didn't want to bear the cost when they have a major event in a week's time and they're headed to Brisbane the week after? Perhaps Wednesday suited them and they figured the outlay ($70k from memory) was not worth the negligible crowd that would show up. And before you say "hold it on the weekend" I'm fairly sure Newcastle couldn't.He’s got a point though, play it somewhere rural in VIC or even try Hobart again?? Last game down there drew a bit of interest.
I'd say there have been hundreds over the years we either aren't aware of or have faded from memory.Really
How many NRL ones have there been?
I can’t recall hearing about any... I’m not saying there hasn’t been any mind you.
Ooh, you and two others. Oh and Josh Massoud who can't even get the stadium name right while he stands in front of it.Seems to be quiet a few fans who care Tim. Hopefully that answers your question.
You probably haven't heard of them because they're behind closed doors.I’ve never heard of any closed door trial games in the NRL.
The only time is probably 2 soccer teams from the Middle East who’s who maybe kill each other.
Can anyone name one other NRL closed door trial?
