Mate Nicholls could be a masterstroke buy....

I think he's a point to prove and that no.10 jersey is his if he really wants it... he just needs consistency...

I like the competition we have for spots... it's better than last year....

Musgrove, Farah, Clark, Turner, Tatola, Britt etc......... fighting it out for a spot on the bench...

Heck even George too for that matter if he can't be consistent..

If something concerns me it may be our depth in the backs worries me just a tad....... we are missing that guy like a Goodwin imo....... hopefully Hunt takes over that role...

I think you’re completely right. Honestly the only lock in at prop for me would be Tom. The rest should definitely be sweating.

Yeah I get where you’re coming from but if GI, Gagai and AJ fire at the back then it’ll come down to players competing over the vacant 2 wing spots and that should definitely inspire them to make it their own. If you look at the players that are competing for those 2 wing spots in Kennar, Graham, Hunt, Jennings, Burns and even Hiroti you would have to think that there’s 2 NRL standard ones in the bunch of them. Kennar is copping it from a lot of fans but I think he could be one of them. But I would play Kennar outside GI. My other pick would probably be out of Hunt and Jennings to sit outside Gagai as I think they both have pretty solid defence. Goodwin would of definitely made the 2018 side but if two of the players did step up then he would find himself in the bears for 2019 and that’d be a terrible way to end your career.

I know I'm right lol as are you...

Why is Kennar copping it???

He attacks that high ball in the air to defuse bombs with confidence and I like that.

It was only his first game back too so he will only get better.

Anyone having a go at Kennar should have a look at Jennings in defence..... either rocks or diamonds.... no inbetween yet..

Agree re Goodwin....

Mate I want Hunt on that wing over Jennings as he is better defensively and under the high ball he is fine.

It’s his defence that seems to worry a lot of fans. A lot of people didn’t like how he was rushing off his wing to make tackles but from what I could tell he timed the rushes pretty well. Him and Jennings formed a pretty good combination together. He’s a powerful winger though and I like that.

One thing that concerns me about Hunt is his speed but he’ll always give it a shot so I’m definitely keen for him to play there.
