Be a very attractive offer for anyone to play in Newcastle. Always big and avid home crowds, great ppl, great beaches. And an up and coming team on the rise. I can think of a few teams that are not as attractive as the Knights.
You'd think so right? Unfortunately we've courted damn near every single off contract prop the past 2 years, and so far come up empty handed. The props just don't seem to want to touch us. If we get Wallace over the next few weeks, that could change I guess.

It’s almost like they know that we’re shit with props and coming to the club will ruin their career. We do to props what Stuart does to halves.

Can’t blame them. I’m actually pretty convinced we’ve had the worst forward pack every year since probably 2003.

Agree. None of my sulking should detract from Penriths effort. You play what is in front of you and Penrith did that, Newcastle didnt.

But f**k those refs were merkins.
Year in,and year out,it's always the same keyword. Inconsistancy. But that would be an impossible task being that we are after all being dictatated by humans. And as humans,we are prone to inconsistancies.

So the only thing that the fan has to grasp to is that everything evens out across the course of the season. Of course this is all irrelevent if ones side cops the refs in a bad mood in the GF.

Have not read back through this thread and am sure it has been said.

But Regan Campbell-Gillard is a f**king machine. Best fwd in the game atm which is saying something.
At his best,Tolo is the best forward I've ever witnessed. RGC is in goid company, but not quite Tolmalolo's (sp?)

You mean how Panthers got warned and knights didn't. Also no send off for DWZ getting punched in the face.

Yeah Funny about the short term memory loss.

Also Maloney looked like someone had a go near his eye, and Wal had dried blood near his ear. But the Panthers got the 50/50 calls say the deluded.

Kind words considering the quality of forward some teams have.

Really well said

How about we send Tamou up the M1 to Newy? Win-win.

It's definitely for the best.

if Newcastle get Wallace they'll have to outbid the Titans to do so, their offer is lucrative to say the least

With a first class injury toll that is worth $4 million. Compared to Penrith, how many were missing for Newcy?

For the others who don't realise it yet,we've been fielding a side that is practically 2/3rds a reserve grade one. And without our star halfback.
Full strength:

1. Edwards
2. DWZ
3. Whare

4. Blake
5. Mansour
6. Maloney
7. Cleary
8. Mez
9. Wallace
10. RCG
11. Yeo
12. Kikau
13. JFH

14. Peachey
15. CHN
16. Tamou

17. Leota / Mckendry

Bolded players are fit. 5 top 17 spots with our second or worse choice player for them.

Crichton and Phillips are so far from Edwards and Mansour its not funny. As is the shuffle done to cover Cleary.

But our forwards havent really skipped a beat.

That is the long and short of why we are running 2nd. The forwards are able to dominate games. It is no coincidence that the three sides who have beaten us have renowned forward packs that happened to produce when facing the challenge of our pack. Forward packs that have played GF's. These packs haven't produced week in and week out though, as ours has. The only other forward pack that has done that is the one that sits above us on the table.

Perfect summary.
