On paper this Broncos team has over achieved.

Nikorima in the halves, Sam Thaiday
and Korbin Sims in the 17

Not the usual Lang Park leg up for the donkeys tonight and without the usual assistance they looked average.

In fact without the help of the whistle blowers in 2018 they would be with Parra on the bottom of the heap

Throw 2018 in the dustbin with 2012-2014. It's time for a cleanout.

Boyd and Thaiday can f**k off into retirement, and Bird, Glenn, Joe O, Nikorima and Sims can all find new homes.

It's time to look the cold dead truth in the face: 2015 was the beginning of the end for Wayne. I'm certain he went into that GF with the retirement speech folded up in his pocket. That was it. That was the moment where he rides off into the sunset with the premiership.

Then Hunt happens. Frustration overloads and he decides to carry on to make up for it. 2 failed finals series later and here we are. He's grumpy, stubborn Clint with not even enough interest in coaching left to address the team at HT. Some hard questions need to be asked.

What a way to treat the coach that got your club all of it's premierships. If the players gave a shit they would have treated Wayne's silence completely differently and came out fired up in the second half.

How does it feel to have an average season (so far) like the rest of us have had? I hope the Broncos miss the finals just so their club can truly appreciate what it's like to play in the finals. The team obviously don't care so they are undeserving. Long time left to turn it around so there is still hope provided they want to put in the work. As a fan it sucks when the team is going poor, but it makes you enjoy the good times so much more.

Thats the beauty of this competition. Even the Storm are starting to draw back to the field (or some others are catching up) to the point that they don't have that intimidating presence about them.

There is a cycle that the NRL wants so all teams get their time in the sun. There are outstanding exceptions to the rule such as the Parra and Manly debacles, which will set them back in the long run. So you would think.
