A dislocated knee means you've torn all 4 ligaments (MCL, LCL, ACL and PCL). If anything it must've been a subluxation of the kneecap.

I dislocated my kneecap (it was hanging out where my quad would be), did none of those but none the less it was excruciating, I think his subluxated, if it was a full dislocation he wouldn't be up walking 2 minutes after the event

Yep, I dislocated my knee and kneecap just recently so I know the pain you're talking about. He'd be doing his best Paris Hilton impersonation on that green whistle if he'd done anything close to that.
