Panthers lack a quality starting 9. I think that’s why the attack at times looks clunky.

Katoa just isn’t the same quality as the other 9s in the top 8.

Newcastle the better team that half. Impressed by their kicking game and the ever dangerous Ponga has the Panthers ride side defence very nervous Their defence has been great too.

Panthers always chance their hand and whenever their tricks come off are fantastic to see.

Only criticism of the game is both sides don't respect the ball.

2nd half will be very exciting.

Griffin obviously wasn’t doing anything because we look exactly the same as before we sacked him. On the other hand there was no point to sacking Griffin because we look exactly the same as before we sacked him.

14-6 is a good reflection of the game but Cleary and May started getting more involved late in the half. Panthers will get them I think.
