Very clunky/sloppy in attack (we're completing at 61%) but outstanding defence that half. Hope we come out firing after HT..

The bunnies defence is good but it's helping that they can give as many penalties away as they want. They should have had someone binned by now.

Souths have looked pretty good in the 1st half except for their discipline. They are making metres at ease and just running through their backline plays for Inglis and Johnstone for practice.

I hope the Raiders can make a game of it in the 2nd half.

Yeah, that "but they intentionally give away penalties" thing is more myth than fact. Certainly never happened in the Fittler or Smith days.

-347 seems a huge abnormality and if I was a Roosters fan I'd be pissed, however at his first Members Night Jason Taylor whilst on stage openly admitted that at the Roosters they purposely gave away penalties as they back their online defence to hold sides out. He said this was his goal at Wests, to get our defence to that standard.

Interestingly the only subs we made that half was Murray for Tom, then Tom back on for George.

3 fresh players on the bench so we should have plenty of fresh legs for the second half

The problem with this is that our 'penalties against' stat has never been significantly higher than other teams. It's our 'penalties received' stat that has always suffered.
